Sahara's Casino No-Limit Poker Tourney

Played in a $45 dollar with one $20 rebuy/add-on tourney at Sahara's in Las Vegas. This was pretty deep stack poker. We started with 6,000 in chips and blinds at 25-50 (20 minute rounds). Which, really is where I shine, since I have a lot of chips to make moves.

-----------------------------------
Already on the third hand, I had already tripled up. This was mostly because I wanted to play fast and aggressive in the beginning. The lose early or get lot of chips early mentality. This hand started out with 3 people on the flop after a raise from early position. I came in in the small blind.

The flop came out A 8 K with two spades. I had two spades in my hand and checked the flush draw. Big blind also checks to the original raiser. He bets out 600.

I re-raise him to 1600 and big blind tanks and looks me up, then decides to go all-in. Original raiser calls and I call. BB had 88 for a set and OR had AK for top two pair.

The turn brings a deuce of spades. My flush and river bricks for the both of them. I win.
-------------------------------

Already I receive a loose player image because of my reraise/call in that hand. I have to say, these players were way to serious about this tourney and I honestly didn't care if I busted out early as it was only a $45 tournament, but here these guys were acting like it was the WSOP. I knew I could use that to my advantage.

I had been caught bluffing a couple times with the worst hand and even was called with A high in a decent pot. Certain players were starting to call me with mid-pair on showdown. I didn't let it bother me. The cool thing about deep stack poker is I can lose a few small pots and still be healthy. Also, I was a huge chip-leader at this point, having over 20k in chips with blinds only at 50-100.

------------------------------

The only time I was down was when I had JJ against someone's QQ. Apparently, he's a pretty well-known comedian named Joe Lowers in Las Vegas. I fought to get back my lead and was more active in pots. Even though, I had lost the chip lead, I was still third in chips at the table. I finally got back a massive chip lead when someone with JJ re-raised a raiser and I went all-in with QQ.

----------------------------

Soon enough, final table and we play until 5 players left. Then it went chop with me being third in chips.
